Abstract

Starting with a limited sample of Bernardino da Feltre’s sermons (62-66, as they appear in the Varischi edition and the manuscripts A17-A18), the essay aims to advance some linguistic considerations on their vernacular parts by examining which phono-morphological peculiarities are attributable to the preacher and which to the scribe; the essay also aims to highlight some stylistic and lexical specificities of the sermons, with a focus on the most interesting terms found in this sample of sermons.
